PURPOSE: The support group was started in November 2001 for the benefit of multiple myeloma patients and their caregivers. Other family members and friends are always welcome. Special attention is given to newly-diagnosed patients, and those in remission are able to offer encouragement based on their own experiences. The twin objectives are to provide information about treatments, doctors, clinical trials, etc. and to exchange knowledge in a way that will offer support to those coping with the disease.
MEETINGS: Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month (unless that falls on a holiday when it would be rescheduled) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 1848 Post Road (corner of Ring's End Road), Darien, in the Taylor Room.
